Eat lots of fruit and vegetables. Don’t eat as much salt or drink as much alcohol. Stop smoking, and try to lose weight. Make sure you get enough sleep and sufficient exercise. You might not be able to tell if your blood pressure is improving without seeing your doctor again, but you will be able to tell if you’re losing weight and building muscle if you’ve got more energy and your mood is brighter.
